Time machine can't find WD MyCloud

So, I had just gotten an WD Mycloud and I connected it to my Macbook pro. It found it at first and started backing up, but when I disconnect from my wifi, it says "Looking for backup drive" and eventually says "Backup drive not found." When I go to the Mycloud dashboard ( which I can get to from the same computer using the ip address) and turn off time machine and turn it back on, It works for a little while but as soon as my computer restarts or disconnects from wifi, it stops working.

I've tried looking at google for fixes but can't find a thing. any help would be appreciated. Thanks!🙂
